Following a very interesting Doors Open Day presentation at Ferguson Marine yesterday, I was lucky to see Jaguar Max outbound at Langbank, accompanied by Ayton Cross and Anglegarth, from the McGills' bus on the way home.

Yes, I saw them passing Greenock esplanade at 7.45am today and then went for a closer look at Custom House Quay. She looked to be just about empty. Anglegarth had a line attached from her stern.

North Ayrshire Council don't seem to give a damn about tourism in their area.
They closed the public toilets on Arran this year, but fortunately the local community have got together and have reopened a number of them.

The aerial view only serves to remind me of the absolute delight as ship enthusiast of travelling to and from work in town on the number 4 Corporation bus from Drumoyne passing the Govan Drydock, Princes Dock and Kingston Dock. These were the days!

She is due at Fairlie on 30/05/17 and departs for Oban later the same day on her Highland Secrets cruise calling in reverse order at - Iona / Lunga Canna / Loch Scavaig Lochmaddy / Dunvegan Stornoway / Shiant Islands St Kilda Barra / Mingulay Colonsay / Jura.

Excellent set of photos once again.

I have to say I was passing Fergusons on Saturday morning and thought the Kyle Venture was on fire as I saw a lot of black smoke which appeared to be coming from her starboard side. However, it transpired it was only that VIC 32 had just passed her inbound!

Very popular during the Christmas party season. I was in London on business on 5 December 1989 and as usual when down there went on board for a drink. What a struggle that was and I came away after only one pint!

The covered building berth at Scotstoun should never have been demolished until it was 100% certain that work on the erection of the originally proposed frigate factory was about to start. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Yes, I noticed on Wednesday when passing Inchgreen on the bus that Ceona had been painted out at the stern.

Hopefully, they have some work lined up for her and she is not going to Dubai for a further period of lay up.

It looks as if she won't be at Inchgreen much longer as I understand that McDermott International Inc of Houston is possibly going to purchase her for about USD80m. That's about a quarter of her newbuild cost a couple of years ago!

In order to attract the mega cruise ships now in service and those under construction, the quay at Greenock Ocean Terminal will need to be extended at some point in the very near future.

It's sad however that there will be no more traditional launches from Govan. Instead, the vessels will apparently be loaded onto a barge, taken down to KGV dock where the barge will be submerged allowing the vessel to be floated off and then moved down to the Scotstoun facility.

Yes saw her passing Custom House Quay around 9.30am with Svitzer Milford attached at the stern and again just after she had passed under the Erskine Bridge around 9.40 am. Massive ship.

She was pulled off the berth by the Anglegarth and Svitzer Milford just after 10.00am this morning and moved across to the anchorage to make way for a visit by Swan Hellenic's Minerva at 1.00pm. Minerva is leaving at 10.00pm tonight when MSC Koroni will presumably be moved back to GOT.
