The vessel was unable to be floated out on the 9th due to a gale blowing and she was eventually floated at 0615 on 10 th March and is due to go on trials in June. Now can anybody in simple term how to downloads photogragh.

This is just to advise that the above tug is still alongside Victoria Park Bideford and has not moved in the last 3 years there has been much discussion at Harbour committee meeting mainly about her condition she is in a bad way. :cry:

Have been advised by the Harbour Mater and Pilot for the River Torridage that the 3td vessel for the Irish Navy will be floated out from the shipyard at Appledore on the 9th March (HW 18.14 hrs) hopefully should be some daylight left for photograghs will keep you informed :clap:

The Edzard Cirksena arrived Bideford this morning to load a part cargo of 1100 tons ball clay for Holland. Sailed for Teignmouth to load balance cargo.

Ships sailed from Appledore on the 15th July and completed trial late in the evening and was handed over to the Irish Navy and ship sailed for Cork where she arrived on Friday 17th. The next ship due to be lauch later this year understand will be named W.T. Bates

Vessel had to return to the shipyard yesterday evening the original problems had been resolved however another one occured which will take 5 days to rectify vessel will now sail on the am tide 1st July.

Have not posted any news as information has been sparse however the ship sailed this morning at 06.10 hrs for 24 hrs trials in the Bristol Channel if everything ok the shipyard personel will be landed to the Lundy Puffin and the ship will sail for her home base Cork.

My Nephew has just been on the second voyage of the vessel seeing him on Monday next when I will have his full and frank opion of the vessel hope to have some photies which will post in due course. :roll:

Latest news today from Capt Hoad the Harbour Master vessel sailing on here ist sea trials on the 5th March for 5 days and is due to be handed over and sail for her home port on the 18th at 16.45 hrs should still have daylight to get photies. will keep advised.

Have just seen news from the Bideford Harbour Master and Pilot that the above vessel is due to leaving the building shed at Appledore on the 23rd November H.W. !8.15 hrs to dark for photies however will be on hand whilst fitting out to keep you supplied with photies :evil:

Does anyboby have a listof the Nato vessel's which visited Cardiff last weekend a few of the vessel's where observed passing Lundy yesterday afternoon but I do not have any names on HMS Duncan.

The Kathleen & May arrived at Bideford on Saturday 23.8.14 from Gloucester. She used to berthed at Bideford before the owners relocated to Canning Dock Liverpool . She is due to sail Today or Tuesday back to Liverpool.

Yes it is nice to see the jetty being put to good use after all these years and the local's enjoy it walking along the Tarka Trial the Old Bideford/Barnstaple railway track. A few local do object because of the lorries bringing in 26 tons of timber at a time but you cannot have everything in life.
