PS WAVERLEY making good progress up the Irish Sea – currently making 14.4 knots, ably assisted by a south-westerly 10/11 knot wind, reckon she’ll cross the Dublin/Holyhead line around 2215hrs BST tonight.

Thanks for the heads-up seapigeon – pleased to see her on her way home at last.

Currently making just over 14 knots - she has a favourable tailwind in the Channel of 7-10 knots -
reckon she’ll “turn the corner” around 0630hrs BST tomorrow.

A wee update - PS WAVEREY departed Weymouth 1124hrs 11th October, arrived Southampton 1622hrs 11th October.

Don’t know if it was a case of requiring better shelter, or “berth required” at Weymouth…..

In any event, she’s still a long way from home……

Nice pics, Riverman…. Unusual vessel, particularly the bow-line – from the pics, appears to be coming in light although CM Arrivals advise cargo as “TBA”. Cargo origin shown as “TN GAE” – no idea….. Sadly, the international cruise-ship season comes to an end – however, we still have several weeks of visits from HEBRIDEAN PRINCESS, cruising well-known Scottish locations.

Thanks again to all contributors to this thread – reckon it’s been a very worth-while exercise.

Looks like a good day today, sailings appear to be more or less to schedule.

Unfortunately Sunday (9th September) sailings have been cancelled due to “wind and sea conditions”.

This sailing was “fully booked”, so not a good result for Waverley Excursions.

Pleased to report the last two days (Saturday/Sunday) sailings all completed within tolerable margins.

PS WAVERLEY continues her excursions in the Bristol Channel until Tuesday, at which time she sails for Swanage to begin her scheduled sailings on the South Coast.
