ABS classification, it still states on equasis that it is still in service as of 15 July 2014, the ABS class has been withdrawn, by the looks of it it has no classification.

this McTay Marine built tug was for sale/charter on the Damen trading/chartering site.

apparently there was a stack of these vessels built by Mctay in the early 90's, i remember reading about in that book 'Tugs Today' by Master Jack Gaston.

its a shame to see the sister tugs London and possibly Rotterdam sold for scrap though. :( It seems the two sister tugs have better value as metal then as deep sea tugs. But i see many deep sea tugs are in fact anchor-handlers, so when they have no long distance towing jobs they can be chartered out...

getting close to a year and it is still moored up at ASL shipyard Singapore.

i wonder why they cancelled orders. ( money problems, not needed )?? what would happen if a company cancelled a order say, mid construction. :?: would they have a deposit down?
