Slow website?

Is there a problem with the website? Has something been changed recently? For the last few days the pages have been taking a long time to load. The problem isn't at my end as I can go off and read other pages while waiting for this one.

Hi Andy,

I also got the same problem every now and then. I think it might be because too many persons are logged in same time.
Placing a photo takes some 5 to 6 minutes sometimes.

Not aware of anything as such, but I'll keep an eye on it. There was a problem a few weeks back with a batch of IP addresses from China caused a very high server load, but the hosts managed to block them and restore normality.

There is an update available for the forum software which I will probably try to install over the holidays, and will need just a short bit of downtime (hopefully!)

Still I have problems with logging in every now and then. The system also logged me out unwanted.

A new problem in the last few days where I have to log in every time I visit despite ticking the "Remember me" box. For a couple of days I couldn't get in at all.

Tried that and it seems to have done the trick. Everything works now as it should.
