I am researching the J&A Gardner ship Bonawe which I have seen loading (or unloading) china clay in Poole in a picture from around 1907. I am trying to find who may have chartered her, and where she loaded and unloaded and confirm that the cargo was china clay (which presumably came from Cornwall as there is no production of china clay in Dorset). Would you know whether this information is held anywhere? Is there a photo out there of the Bonawe.

On the database here....clydeships.co.uk.....details of a BONAWE (1904-1917) and another 1919-1954 both from Scotts Bowling.
Database looking for photos of both ships.
