M.V. LOCH DUNVEGAN - Cal Mac ferry for the Colintraive - Rhubodach service


Built by Ferguson Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow, Yard Number 601, for Cal-Mac, initially for the Kyle of Lochalsh - Kyleakin service, then later after the new Skye Bridge was commissioned for Clyde duties.

15th March 1991 : Launched
13th May 1991 : Commissioned in service

IMO : 9006409

Capacity : 36 cars and 200 passengers

Tonnage : 549 GRT
Dimensions : 54.2 metres (73.8 metres overall) x 13.4 metres Beam x 1.6 metres Draught
Crew : Normally four
Propulsion : 2 x Voith-Schneider propulsion units (TAMD 162 4 SCSA oil engines) each developing 448 BHP
Speed : 9 knots
