Troon and Ayr - ships arrivals record

Post by Angus Mac Kinnon » Wed Dec 10, 2014 8:10 pm

Due to health and mobility problems I regret to advise that, for the time being at least, I am forced to discontinue my normal record of shipping arrivals at the ports of Troon and Ayr. Needless to say, in the event I make a recovery, normal service will resume again.

Regards to all,

Angus Mac Kinnon (Troon)

Get well soon Angus, then back down to the ports and the ships – but ONLY in that order.

Take care.

To Alasdair, Allan and Tonald

Thank you all - and others - for your thoughts and good wishes. Have been much improved these past 3/4 days and the convulsions have stopped for now.

Saw the Consultant at Ayr Hospital yesterday - he is the one charged with examining the MRI results to try and determine whether stroke or epilepsy - but he was unable to reach any clear conclusion and wants to carry out a further MRI Scan after a lapse of about 6 weeks then do a comparison - he thinks that will enable him to reach a conclusion.

I am on treatment for both stroke and epilepsy and, whilst I think my condition is epilepsy rather than stroke, due to the severe convulsions, and absence of stroke-type symptoms, the Consultant and Department I was referred to at Ayr was the Stroke Unit, which seemed a bit strange to me. Anyways, with a Red Cross First Aider in the house, and a daughter MD within a half hour drive, I am delegating full responsibility to that pair.

The repeat MRI Scan should be scheduled for on or about 16th January 2014.

Meantime, wishing you all a Happy and Healthy Festive Season ! :)

Good to know you're feeling better, Angus, but it must still be a worry for Frances and your other family members. Best wishes to you all for Xmas and the New Tear.

Very best wishes to our old friend Angus, look after yourself now, and be looked after, behave yourself, do as you are told (so what's new ;) ), excused washing-up and ironing, feet up and keep warm, eat the chocs., .... and Merry Christmas to you and all your supportive family, and wishing that 2015 brings you better health.
