Built at St Nazaire for Cia de Nav. Fraissinet et Cyprien Fabre, Marseille as the GENERAL MANGIN in 1953.

12,475 Gross, Twin Burmeister and Wain Diesels of 9,600 Bhp driving twin screws giving a speed of 16 Knots.
Passengers; 132 1st Class; 125 2nd Class; 101 3rd Class; 500 Troops; Crew 168.

Service. Marseille to Point Noire (Congo)

1965 Transferred to Nouvelle Cie de Paquebots, Marseille. Same Service.
1969 Sold to Philippine President Lines Inc, Manila for service betweenJapan and the Phillippines.
Renamed PRESIDENT.
1972. Sold to Cia de Nav Abeto SA Panama and renamed EASTERN QUEEN.
Singapore to Fremantle service for Fir Line.
Passengers; 580 in Cabins, 156 in Dormitories,
1977. Sold to Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Chittagong and renamed HIZBUL BAHR.
1981. To Bangladesh Navy and renamed SHAHEED SALAHUDDIN.

Broken up at Chittagong commencing 27th June 1985.
