5552 SILVER JUBILEE

The first of Stanier's Jubilee Class of 4-6-0s introduced to the LMS in 1934. 191 were eventually built. She was withdrawn from BR as 45552 in September 1964 being cut up at Cashmore's yard at Great Bridge in 1965.

Courtesy Mike Redmayne from the collection of the late Jon Gerralde, 45552 Silver Jubilee getting plenty of attention at Bristol's Barrow Road Shed. We think it might have worked a railtour but there's no definite word on this or date.
