THE PEOPLE'S LINERS - BRITAIN'S LOST PLEASURE FLEETS

Just in case you missed it, a great piece of nostalgia on BBC4 last night. It divides its time between the Bristol Channel with some good footage of the Campbell's Queens and Balmoral including the latter's return to service earlier this year, and the Clyde. Lots of great old film, including pre-war, of the Clyde fleets and, as one would expect, plenty of coverage of Waverley.

Highly recommended viewing and it's available to catch up on via BBC iPlayer.

I second Alasdairs comments. I was paticularly interested in some old black and white film of Rothesay and some amateur colour film on the Clyde in the late 1950s.
