The St. Columba church hall in Helensburgh is being coverted into the new Scottish Submarine Museum. One of the exhibits is the midget submarine X-51 HMS STICKLEBACK built by Vickers-Armstrong, Barrow in Furness in 1954. She had a complement of 5 including C/O, Navigator, Engineer, and two divers. Seen here this morning after arriving from Portsmouth a few weeks ago by low loader.

Well caught Paul, the craft had been in the Faslane Media Centre at Rhu for a few days before being installed in the museum. Let us hope the museum attracts sufficient visitor numbers to ensure its success.
