Millport Pier

Post by seapigeon » Tue Aug 15, 2017 9:38 pm

North Ayrshire council intend to demolish the wooden section of Millport Pier. This would have a serious effect on the towns marine infrastructure preventing calls by Waverley and other vessels to the town.
Locals have set up an online petition, please consider signing it to send North Ayrshire Council the message that people want a pier at Millport

North Ayrshire Council don't seem to give a damn about tourism in their area.
They closed the public toilets on Arran this year, but fortunately the local community have got together and have reopened a number of them.

It's the same on Cumbrae, toilets now maintained by community, and in better condition than they ever were when looked after by the council. NA council really have lost the plot, Kilwinning doesn't need a pier so why should Millport :-)
