QE2 50 YEARS LATER - FREE EXHIBITION GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART

GROUND FLOOR/CORRIDOR, REID BUILDING, RENFREW STREET, GLASGOW

10 FEBRUARY - 4 MARCH 2018 1000-1630 every day

A free exhibition curated by Bruce Peter which appears to cover the same scope as his paper, one of the best given at the QE2 50th Anniversary Conference at Clydebank Town Hall on 22nd September 2017:

"Fifty years ago, the last great Clyde-built passenger liner, Queen Elizabeth 2, left the River Clyde at the beginning of what turned out to be a highly successful and lenghthy career as a trans-Atlantic liner and cruise ship. This exhibition focuses on the design of the ship and its interiors - which represented a high point for British post-war design and involved a number of very significant British architects, industrial, interior and graphic designers. Through imagery, text and ephemera, a notable 'Clyde-built' design achievement is celebrated." http://www.gsa.ac.uk/life/gsa-events/ev ... rce=future
