She’s been in Garvel since 22nd March, apparently due to parts of her propulsion system having to be sent to Denmark for specialist repair.

Because of this, Calmac has had to make fairly significant changes to timetables at several locations, in order to maintain and prioritise essential services.

Allan, Clansman has been at Garvel since 25/26 February for her annual overhaul, apparently, she picked up a wire rope on her prop when entering drydock and it damaged the shaft and the prop. She was towed out of the dock and lay in James Watt Dock when she moved back into the drydock things did not seem to be going to plan ! and now the Waverley is in the dock with her and the MV Hebrides is still to get her annual overhaul, she was due out before Easter. So yes CalMAc in a wee bit of bother just now a lot of the summer sails are changed at the moment Islay and Arran sharing the MV Isle of Arran.

Situation seems to be escalating – Calmac have announced a cessation of services from Ardrossan to Campbeltown, in view of the prolonged dry-docking of MV CLANSMAN.

She was in the JWD when I saw her about 9.00am today and between the mainland and Arran at one point this afternoon.

Yes, exited the Garvel Drydock early 1st May, moored alongside in JWD then headed up to Uig on Skye – arrived there around 0830hrs this morning. Subsequently sailed to Lochmaddy, there as at this time.
