HELENSBURGH PIER

Post by riverman » Tue Oct 16, 2018 8:36 pm

Helensburgh Pier has been closed to marine traffic following an inspection by engineering consultants, and a Notice to Mariners has been issued temporarily closing the pier. Surprisingly the pier has not been included in Argyll & Bute Council's £18.6m project to redevelop the Helensburgh waterfront. The pier is the whole focal point of the town and what the future holds at present is anyone's guess.

Sadly, that sounds like par for the course for what must be Scotland’s most dysfunctional council.
