ANTONOV AT PRESTWICK

Post by tonycannon » Sun Mar 13, 2011 11:11 pm

A few shots of a Russian Air Force Antonov 100-124 (I think) loading the NATO NSRS Submarine Rescue Equipment at Prestwick Airport in a mobilisation for exercising at Bergen a few weeks ago.

The Antonov did 3 trips and a RAF C17 did 2 trips.

Saw one of the C17s once when down at Ayr. It was circling quite low but sadly didn't come over Ayr beach- I know the dogs would like to have seen it......
