How to add a link in a posting

Post by mcmahos » Thu Jul 22, 2010 8:47 pm

When you start a new post you will see a series of small buttons above the main input box - these are known as BBCODEs. If you hover your mouse over them you should see the syntax required (if any) for their use. Most are self explanatory. IMAGE and youtube are shown in separate posts in this forum.

To add a hyperlink in to your text you need to use the following syntax

Code: Select all

http://www.mysite.com
will give http://www.mysite.com

or

Code: Select all

a link to my website
will give a link to my website

Stuart,
Everytime I post a new ship or message and want to try a second one, I got this message and can do nothing:

Geen gegevens ontvangen
Kan de webpagina niet laden omdat de server geen gegevens heeft verzonden.
Hier zijn enkele suggesties:
Reload this web page later.
Fout 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): De server heeft de verbinding verbroken zonder gegevens te verzenden.

This is already for some weeks and there is no change! After each ship I added, I must log out, log inn and try again till I placed another one! Than the same story start again. Not really comfortable I must say.

Not sure what's causing the 324 error, Henk. Don't think it's related to the site upgrade though. Can you have a look here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/C ... a292&hl=en and run the winsock fix that's mentioned.

From what I've read it appears to be a fairly common error, particularly in Chrome, but in other browsers as well. It's caused by something at your end - not a lot I can do to help I'm afraid. Have a look here a this page: http://www.roezer.com/LostBlog/fixing-c ... _response/

and see if any of the suggestions help. Also do a google search for "Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE)"
