There is no evidence that she has ever been named SL PLENTY. According to Equasis, she is still named PB PLENTY - and she was certainly named thus in late 2016. Lloyd's Register also notes that she has always been named PB PLENTY.

Interesting!! It would be useful to know the date of the photograph. It could be that the name was applied to the ship unofficially, or in error.

Smit Lamnalco still owns all the tugs Svitzer just charters a few of them. The Date is July 06, 2015 under the SL name.

I have a photo of her in SL colours and named PB PLENTY at Newcastle on 29 December 2015. The only way of knowing exactly is to see the ship's registration papers. I still suspect that the name SL PLENTY was unofficial.

Paul Finnigan; July 17, 2016 > PB PLENTY now back in its home port Melbourne after a repaint into Svitzer livery. Unlike its sister ship the SL DAINTREE,PLENTY has retained its PB initials.
