A memory of her as SMIT ROTTERDAM in home waters at Greenock in 1979 when she came to take away a rig I think.

i have been reading around that the gms company is a ship scrapping company, is it possible the london and rotterdam will be used as tugs to tow scrap ships to the breaking yards.
people are saying they are going to be scrapped after they do a tow from africa to india. but what i dont understand is if they are going to be drydocked is it possible they are just going to tow scrap and not end up as scrap??????

oh  i see up at the first post that they went up for sale at 3. 500 000 dollars.
3.5 million dollars seems cheap for a tug that size ?
