Or under it judging by the Bow Wave!!

I sometimes wonder how some of these Barges etc.. stay afloat, they have such a low freeboard. I know its all down to reserve Bouyancy but there cannot be that much in reserve sometimes.

Hatches covers and lashings Paul, thats all that saves them. The latest tanker conversions to gravellers have tanks left in so they can safely steam uncovered but the likes of this one and the purpose built general cargo barges were loadline exempt topside of Thorngumbold in the winter and even down to GY in summer.
