SV Maud Mary 1889 from GOOLE

Trading Ketch at Padstow Harbour
Built by Howden Dyke, Goole in 1889 for George Herbert Anderton
1908 to William Quance, Appledore
Later to Yarmouth then Cardiff where she had an engine fitted
1925 sold to J Lamey, Appledore
1039 believed lost in the English Channel

Sorry, this is not the Mary Maud.

Her name is the Maud Mary. ON 91320.
Rigged as a ketch of 77 rt.

In which case she was indeed lost in the English Channel.
Under the Polish flag, she was wrecked off Poole in Dec 1939.

Builder was W. Caisley and she was his yard number 12 of 85grt.
