With things a tad quiet at sunny Ayr and Troon harbours presently, took a wee furtive jaunt into North Ayrshire to see what they were up to down there in the Dark Place. Some demolition and re-build works going on around the area of the old hydraulic pump-house (now Cecchini's Ristorante), across from the newish ASDA Supermarket, and a few changes around the harbour itself since last visit, otherwise much the same.
Some images taken to prove I managed to get into, and away from, the dreaded Ardrussan with physical harm - this time!

Aye, ye need tae watch sneakin aroon that part of Ardrussan at your age. Ye'll stick oot a mile awa with the posh wheels etc.
The former police station was latterly derelict but has been taken over by Irvine Bay company and is being transformed into a new health centre to replace the South Beach doctors surgery. Supposed to be completed pretty soon and will also accommodate a new dentist and other clinics.
