Robin Wilson

Post by Deepol » Mon Apr 18, 2016 10:05 pm

Willie Mcgregor's photo of Robin who I have sadly to let you know passed away earlier today. He had been in poor health for some time.
His love of his home town, Greenock is legendary and in particular the sugar industry. His meticulous records of ships visiting the Watt Dock were a joy to read.
I'll post details of funeral arrangements.

I last spoke to Robin in January and he didn't sound very well then, even though he said he was ok. I am very grateful to Robin for the help he gave me in reporting Clyde naval events when I was compiling the Marine News Deployments Column.
