This LCT-1206 was built for the (British) Royal Navy - Motherwell Yd No 360.
[the US LCT of that number was a completely different vessel - see http://www.navsource.org/archives/10/18/181206.htm]

I have not found the operator as AMFREVILLE, though it was not the French Navy.

Are you sure that she was with FISH/Feronia? I have owner from 1967 as Société Maritime et Coloniale de la Mer Rouge, Djibouti and operating on the Madagascar coast.

In 1973 I think that she was sold to Entreprise de Dragage & de Travaux Publics de la Lowe, Libreville, Gabon (not Ghana) - IVINDO is a Gabon river. Possibly still in service.

According to the story Piet Vroon himself told me, I don't have any doubt about this ownership.
I didn't know anything about this vessel, but he said he missed one in my fleetlist. Indeed I found her in Ko Rusman's fleetlist on Feronia!

David,
After searching a couple of weeks in a blood hot archive, I found some more things of the vessel with Feronia/Vroon and reviewed her in the list below. So you were very close!
The only thing is, she never left Africa. Went from the Red Sea to the West Coast indeed Ghana but Tema was mentioned as place to be, I couldn't find if it indeed was her homeport or not. Thereafter Gabon because Libreville was then mentioned as homeport.
