BANBURY 1971: Scotts' Greenock

Bulk Carrier/ general cargo ship delivered in December 1971 ostensibly for Houlder Brothers launched as BANBURY but renamed IRON BANBURY for a 4 year charter to Australia's Broken Hill Pty.
At the end of the charter in 1975 she reverted to BANBURY until sold in 1982 when she became LADY MARINA then ARIANE S, PRESIDENTE AGUIRRE CERDA and finally as MSC ELENA she arrived at Alang on September 3rd 2001 being beached on 28th for breaking up.

The end of her charter. She came to Meadowside in Febrary 1976 with Australian barley then eventually reverted to Houlder colours.

BANBURY was sold in 1982 becoming LADY MARINA seen here and after a few other names as MSC ELENA she arrived at Alang on September 3rd 2001 for breaking up.
