Possibly the 7th in the series of VLCCs for Bergesen built in the 1970s she came from the Mitsui yard at Chiba in May 1974 remaining within the Bergesan fleet till arriving at Xinhui in China on 30th April 1999 for scrapping.

Paul, The name "Septimus" is the latin for seventh so you are correct in vessel number seven in a series from Mitsui SB, Japan for Bergesen, just to add her sister-ships as follows:

BERGE DUKE - 1973 - Yard No.976 - Broken-up Chittagong, Bangladesh 4-11-98.

BERGE KING - 1970 - Yard No.817 - Sold 1986 renamed KHARK 2 - Broken-up Gadani Beach, Pakistan 3-3-1994.

BERGE LORD - 1973 - Yard No.934 - Broken-up Chittagong, Bangladesh 6-1-1999.

BERGE PRINCE - 1973 - Yard No.899 - Sold 2000 renamed PRINCE - Broken-up Alang, India 22-2-2000.

BERGE PRINCESS - 1972 - Yard No.875 - Sold 1989 renamed LUX PRINCESS, Sold 1990 renamed OSLO PRINCESS - Broken-up Chittagong, Bangladesh 17-2-1995.

BERGE QUEEN - 1971 - Yard No.863 - Renamed 1983 BERGE BRAGD, Sold 1986 renamed KHARK 3 Broken-up Gadani Beach, Pakistan 3-3-1994.
