This 250m long tanker is currently showing on AIS - just northwest of Oxford in the middle of the English countryside!

And in the grounds of somebody's stately pile by the looks of it ! It 's also showing her position as static while she is maintaining a speed of 27 knots.

I didn't even check that! I'm sure there must be an explanation for this, but I can't think of anything. Can anyone offer a suggestion?

I'd guess at a faulty GPS decoder. She's now not showing so they've switched it off or are out of coverage
