BARON INCHCAPE

Post by Deepol » Wed Jul 23, 2014 2:03 pm

One of the series of twin funnelled bulk carriers built for Scottish Ship Management in the 1970s. She was completed at Haugesund in 1971.
SSM sold her in 1977 when she was renamed FEDERAL ST.CLAIR and as OCEAN LUCKY she grounded off Taiwan in October 1994 on a voyage from Hong Kong to Hualien in China becoming a total loss.
Some if not all of the ships were re-engined after failures of their original machinery.
