Peter :

Where the greyhounds of the sea are concerned, i.e. the mighty BPTC, posting on the incorrect board is but a venial sin, instantly pardonable by all bar those slow-coaches ex-Clan, ex-Ben, ex-Brockies .......

Ahoy Mr. Moderator, it is possible to move posts or entire topics from one board to another, this one now on BoT (big old tankers) just to show it.

p.s. where's the photo of this BRITISH POWER that you are advertising, then?

S.S. British Industry of 1957, built by John Brown of Clydebank. One of the 32,000 DWT class.
Joined her at Marseille on 12th July 1967 and left her in Glasgow on 13th November 1967.
(See Company cablegram appointing me to this vessel - that's how it was done in these days!)

Opps - sorry - wrong ship, this was the 'Justice', an earlier ship, cannot put my hand on the 'Industry' photo just now

John Winters sent me this of BRITISH FORTUNE as he thought she was a Harland and Wolff build from Govan. Sadly not, she came from Doxford's in Sunderland in 1949 and was broken up at Briton Ferry arriving there on September 12th 1961.
