An old magazine cutting of Ferguson's on the left with Lamont's on the right. I believe the tenements were originally built for the shipyard workers.

Is that the Talisman at Lamont's jetty?

Yes, would say so. The aft lifeboats would suggest WAVERLEY but I can only see the single funnel which would be T.
