Mystery RoRos

Post by caledoniaman » Thu Jan 09, 2014 11:18 am

I have been trying to unearth, years of build, GRTs and any former names for two vessels. The Jodie Anne was snapped at Ailsa Craig while the Harvest Anne had just passed through the Corran narrows. I have a suspicion that both were formerly operated by the Royal Navy on either Intrepid or Fearless, but that is only a hunch. I hope somebody out there has all the answers.

JODIE ANN looks to me to be a sister to DRAMBUIE formerly of Skye Marine, which was built in 1967 by Dunston, Thorne as LCM(9)708 for service as you mention on HMS FEARLESS.
The series from Thorne was LCM(9)704-711
Seen below at Goole in 2007, possibly sold/renamed since then
