NORVAL brig ( 1812 /1814 ) search.

Post by Jalex » Mon Apr 20, 2015 1:47 pm

Hi all, this is my first post in this forum.,
I´m 66y.o. and trying to search as much as possible information available about the reference brigantine ( NORVAL ) .
All my present family and myself live in Argentina, and the first one came to this lands, according some information ( and list of passengers founded in the British Cemetry ) aboard the brig. Norval 197 tn.
They arrived on May 28th, 1825 to Buenos Aires port, starting the trip in Greenock.

At this moment, this is the only info I have about the ship.

http://www.clydeships.co.uk/view.php?ref=21720 and also an oil paint ( dated 1833, by W. Clark ) posted in Yale Art Gallery.

If any of you have or know where to get more,( drawings, hull plans, etc,etc ) I´ll appreciatte let me know it.
Thanks in advanced.
Jalex
