Sheelah
Admiralty Hospital Ship – 11
Launched by John Brown Clydebank, Yard No 355, 22/5/1902 as a Steam Yacht for W A Donaldson. (His second Sheelah). Fate not Known
466t

Among her owners were James Ross of Montreal, Miss B. Cant and Mrs F. A. Stirling.
Before the war she belonged to the Beattys, later Admiral of the Fleet
August 1914 she was presented by Lady Beatty to the Admiralty for use as a Hospital Ship. She sometimes visited her Naval husband in the yacht when he was not at home but the use of mines now made this very dangerous and so the offer was made. Lady Beatty paid for much of the fitting out including an Operating Theatre whose design was later used in other Hospital ships. She was based at Rosyth. She does not appear to be flying the White Ensign in the image below
February 1919 Returned
1930s sold to M Banaz, Yugoslavia, who had her modernised and renamed her TIHA
