NIZAM HMS/HMAS Destroyer: 1941 John Brown, Clydebank

This N Class destroyer was built for the Royal Australian Navy but operated under the British Royal Navy so not clear if she was HMAS or HMS. Her wartime career included escorting both Queens ELIZABETH and MARY round the African Coast to Alexandria. Latterly she served in the Far East and was actually attacked by a Japanese aircraft after the official surrender. She was present for the signing in Tokyo Bay.
Decommissioned in 1945 she made the voyage to the UK to be broken up at Grays where she arrived on November 16th 1955.

These HMS / HMAS are difficult. Certainly started out as HMS but don't know if she was changed.
