Rescue Tug
Launched by Bow, McLachlan & Co. Ltd., Paisley, Yard No 418 in the 4th quarter of 1924 as a Salvage Tug for the Pacific Salvage Co. Ltd., Victoria BC. 12/9/1940 stranded and wrecked 1.5 miles North of Duncansby Head, Scotland
186.3 ft x £6.2.ft x 16.2 ft
1 screw, T3cyl (22½"38"64"x36"), 396nhp, 2500ihp, giving 14 knots
Salvage Gear
Crew 64

Completed in February 1925
1940 on charter to the Admiralty as a Rescue Tug and based in the Orkney Isles
Together with HMS Brigand she assisted the torpedoed cargo ship Beacon Grange the Moray Firth. They first tackled the fire and then towed her into Kirkwall
12/9/1940 ran ashore on the Ness of Duncansby and was wrecked with no loss of life. Served for 9 months
