Ex Dutch Minesweeper that escaped from the Dutch East Indies to Australia when the Islands were invaded by the Japanese.

Built in 1936 by Gusto Shipyard, Schiedam, Holland.

Pendant Number A925.
460 Displacement; 525 full load.
183 x 25.5 x 7 feet.
1 x 57 mm; 4 x 20 mm AA
Triple Expansion IHP 1,690 giving 15 knots.
2 x Yarrow Boilers.
Oil Fuel 110 tons.
Crew: 47.

By 1953 classed as "Local Vessels" and in the process of being converted to "Gate Vessels".

Sisters were Abraham van der Hulst, Jan van Gelder and Pieter Florisz.

Earlier stern view of her at Den Helder. A fine old preserved vessel. Wish we could achieve the same :(

Last time I saw her she was at Willemstadt in Holland
