Green Barge Co, London

Post by davidships » Sun Aug 15, 2010 1:11 am

The Green Barge Co Ltd's website notes that they have two river tugs and two canal tugs.
http://www.greenbarge.co.uk/

1) GREEN LONDON ex-JIM HIGGS ex-LORD RITCHIE
2) GREENWICH ex-FALCONBROOK ex-CASPAR C ex-GENERAL V ex-BLACKBOYS
3) [new name?] ex-NASEBY

Anyone know the other river tug?
Or details of NASEBY, ex-British Waterways?

I was not aware that they had the FALCONBROOK ex Environment Agency, however I thought they had the FALCON BROOK (two words) ex British Waterways, built as that name by Pollock in 1939 as yn 1755. But then I may have crossed my wires.

My confusion, Dave, trying to sort out the TT references. That makes more sense!

Thanks Ray.

Yes GREENWICH does inded look like ex-NASEBY

So what has become of the (ex-British Waterways) FALCON BROOK that Green Barge bought in 2008?

The photo link is to the Environment Agency's FALCONBROOK, I think - or am I getting even more confused?

David A, sorry if I confused you. I intended to post links to two Falconbrooks but one got lost. I left the E.A's Falconbrook for future reference that she was in service in July 2010.
Here is the link for what I think is the first Falcon Brook and rumoured to have been bought by the Green Barge Co.
