Where these LCT's were employed in the RN as salvage craft, apparently, they would be fitted with sheerlegs allowing a 50 ton lift capacity.
This would seem very reasonable with their shallow draft of 4 to 7 feet, c 1.5 to 3 Metres, light and fully loaded.
It is probable Titan V was of the LCT-3 or LCT-4 types, the largest, with Paxmans. But then something in the order of 1200 were built.
Many were strengthened for all manner of subsidiary duties.
What sort of crew they carried for these tasks, military, civilian or mixed and under whose jurisdiction they operated is unclear.
Dozens must have made it to the civvy market post war.
Raid - Trade - Aid
Thats all folks. Sean. E28
