30.1.1941: Launched as EMPIRE LARCH by Goole Shipbuilding & Repairing Company Ltd.,
Goole (Yard No. 353) for the Ministry of War Transport.
14.6.1941: Completed, United Towing Company Ltd. appointed as managers.
30.6.1941: Extensively damaged by aircraft bombs off Gt. Yarmouth and withdrawn from service; later repaired and returned to service.
1942: Towed damaged EMPIRE PILGRIM (2,828g./42) from Aberdeen to Blyth.
9.7.1943: Departed Gibraltar for Loch Ewe via Liverpool with convoy MKS16G.
22.7.1943: Arrived UK.
27.10.1943 Departed Liverpool for Gibraltar with convoy OS57/KMS31.
10.11.1943: Arrived Gibraltar.
12.1944: Towed steamer TWICKENHAM (4,762g./40) from Plymouth to Hull.
4.1945 Towed A107 from Hull to Chatham.
4.1945: In company with tug THAMES (634g./38) towed EMPIRE BEATRICE (7,046g./43) from R. Blackwater to R. Clyde.
5.1945: In company with EMPIRE WINNIE(479g./44) towed steam LISETA (2,628g./27) from London to Middlesborough.
5.1945: Towed LC27 from Middlesborough to London.
5.1945: In company with tug THAMES towed steamer COMPIEGNE (10,017g./23) from R. Tyne to Gravesend.
6.1945: Towed barges WILFRED and MARY III from Terneuzen to Gravesend.
6.1945: Towed 2 barges from Plymouth to Antwerp.
6.1945: Towed dredger DREDGEWELL from Calais to Southampton.
6.1945: Towed barges MUNSTER and ROSE from Portsmouth to Gravesend.
30.10.1945: On Admiralty service towing US barge from Cherbourg to Antwerp.
2.11.1945: Ordered to Scapa Flow to tow a trawler to Leith.
13.4.1946: Purchased, for £37,620, by United Towing Company Ltd. and renamed MASTERMAN.
1962: Sold to Brodospas, Split, Yugoslavia and renamed SMJELI.
23.10.1971: Towed into her owner's yard at Sveti Kajo for demolition.
11.1973: Work completed.

25.4.1945: Launched as EMPIRE BESS by Clelands (Successors) Ltd., Willington Quay on Tyne (Yard No. 74) for the Ministry of War Transport.
26.7.1945: Completed, United Towing Company Ltd. appointed as managers.
8.5.1946: Purchased for £36,250 by United Towing Company Ltd. and renamed MERCHANTMAN (the request to rename her WORKMAN being refused by the Registrar General of Shipping, it being a reserved name).
1962: Sold to Societa Rimorchiatori Napoletani, Italy and renamed TARENTUM.
1982: Sold to Palermo Salvatore e Cia. S.N.C., for demolition.
28.5.1982: Work commenced at Naples.
