ROMAN (1) (1895 – 1899) wood screw tug.
O.N. 105017. 16g. 1n. 47.2 x 11.3 x 5.0 feet.
C.2-cyl. (8” & 16” x 10”) engine made in 1893 by Escreet and Richmond, Hull. 11nhp.
1890: Completed by George Brown & Company, Hull for unidentified owner.
1893: Thomas Gulson, Leicester. [1st registered in Hull 1895]
1.1895: Sold to T. Gray & Company Ltd., (George Gray, manager), Hull.
3.1899: Sold to Manchester and Liverpool Transport Company Ltd., London.
9.1906: Sold by Mortgagee to The Bishop’s Wharf Carrying Company Ltd., Liverpool.
1.1908: Sold to H. & C. Grayson Ltd., Liverpool.
1.1911: Sold to Edwin Greenleaf, Grimsby.
9.1911: Purchased by John Henry Pigott, Grimsby.
28.10.1915: Lost off Spurn Head.
