HERCULANEUM (3) (1962 - 1996)
O.N. 303869. 161g. 0n. 100' 6" x 26' 6" x 10' 2"
8-cyl. 2 S.C.S.A. (310 x 490mm) Alpha 498R type diesel engine by Alpha Diesel A/S, Frederikshavn, geared to a controllable pitch propeller operating within a Kort steerable nozzle.1,000bhp. 11½ kts. 15 tons bollard pull.
200x: Re-engined - with 1000bhp Cummins. 16 tons bollard pull.
30.8.1962: Launched by W. J. Yarwood & Sons Ltd., Northwich (Yard No. 937) for the Alexandra Towing Company Ltd.
12.1962: Completed.
5.1996: Sold to Bayview Enterprises Ltd., London and transferred to Belize flag.
1997: Sold to Sea Faith Overseas SA, Panama, transferred to Honduras flag and renamed ATLAS.
2000: Sold to Ignatios Naftiki Eteria,(Michalis Spanopoulos SA, manager), Drapetsona and renamed CHRISTOS VIII under Greek flag.
Subsequently reported as being re-engined.
11.2010: Still in service.
