Their tankers were a common sight going through the town. I think they were taking bulk whisky from Speyside down to bottling plants in the Central Belt.

The orange plate at the front and back denotes I am under ADR regs. (The carriage of dangerous goods by road) in this case Class 3 (Highly Flammable Liquids.)
To obtain an ADR certificate (which must be carried by the driver at all times in order to show VOSA, Police etc.) a driver must undergo one weeks training at an approved training centre with an examination at the end.
This course and examination must be taken every five years.
