P&Os Aurora and Arcadia

Post by alasdairmac » Fri Jul 23, 2010 3:50 pm

Acradia is seen berthed at Circular Quay, Sydney in February this year. This was our first cruise on Arcadia, having previously been on Victoria in 2001 before she was sold, and then several times on Aurora. Verdict: nice ship with high quality in all departments. Quietly and tastefully furnished and, thanks goodness and despite being of Carnival's Vista Class design, no American influences apparent.

Aurora was photographed from Arcadia a few days later as the two fleet-mates passed each other off the coast of Queensland. Aurora is a more your typical "British" cruise liner than Arcadia and exudes a more country-house hotel atmosphere.
